Family Counselling

A family counsellor works with multiple family members versus one person.  Family counselling focuses on issues that affect the health and functioning of a family, working through a difficult period, a major transition, or addressing the mental / behaviour patterns of family members.

  • Parent Support

  • Conflict / Crisis / Communication skills

  • Life / Developmental transitions (teenagers, aging parents . . . you get the idea, we all change)

  • Support for families with special needs

Children

Child/play therapy is currently in-person, ages 8 -12. Beth’s play therapy relies on parents also attending counselling in the form of Parent Support.

  • Play Therapy uses Sandtray, art, stories, games, and play founded in Alderian Partners in Play + Neuroscience & Satir in the Sandtray.

  • Please Note: Child therapy begins with a “parent(s) only” intake 1st-session.

  • Parent Support: The Child’s needs are the goal of the therapy; this can be a very effective means of support for children and their families.
